Project Helix
Project Helix is a puzzle game about manipulating molecular spins to help stop a deadly virus.
You are a remote intern working for Helix Labs. Your workstation is on an old CRT monitor you found, connected to a cutting-edge molecular simulation system used to test compounds before they reach patients. Your job is to adjust atomic spin states to stabilize experimental compounds and help develop a cure to the deadly virus plaguing the earth.
As you progress, you start receiving strange emails.
Some from the company...
some not.
Solve puzzles, read intercepted emails, and piece together what is actually happening behind the scenes.

Dang this game is so peak. You have done well in making this! It looks very polished for a game jam I ain't gonna lie. I hope you don't abandon this gameplay concept after the jam; this has lots of potential.
This is the first real puzzle game I've seen for the jam. Puzzle games have the ability to really grab people's attention and keep them engaged. It is hard to find a balance of easy/difficult for the first few levels, especially when trying to explain the concept of the puzzles.
The presentation is overall really good though, the art and effects. Looks really polished.
These were fun puzzles! Super well made. I'm very impressed. I also liked the story, even if it was a little cliché. It was neat that you got a choice at the end.
(P.S. There's a small typo in the "H.A.I!" message - 'experience' got misspelled as 'expierence.')
Edit/addition - This is your first game? That's incredible. Props!
Thank you so much for playing! All of this nice feedback is way more than I ever thought I would get when entering this jam. Also, thanks for pointing out that typo. I probably should have spell checked everything lol. Thank you so much again!
It is insane that this only took a week for you to create! It was pretty fun and definitely matches the theme. I wish you the best of luck winning the jam!
Amazing work, congratulations!
This is pretty fun!
Great stuff, the level of polish and detail is incredible!
Love it! Crazy how you made this in less than a week!
This game has been really cool! I love the atmosphere, audio and the puzzle format. H.A.I is really fun <3
It would be nice if the player could pull up the messages describing the new atoms to re-read after closing them. And maybe have the messages point out the colour change that defines the new atoms?
I may have ran into a bug. It seemed one of the levels was immediately completed upon loading it. This one here:
Overall, amazing game!
Thank you so much for the kind feedback. I had a lot of fun making H.A.I., so it means a lot to hear you enjoyed it. And thanks for pointing out that bug! That level was auto completing because I forgot to hide it after testing lol. Thanks so much for playing!
